This data provides a set of layers from the Mukuru River Catchment in Lamu County. This is an interest area for the Lamu - Tana Landscape of WWF-Kenya. Through the Forest project in Coastal Kenya Program , land owners/farmers within the Mukuru Catchment in Lake Kenyatta basin in Mpeketoni among other project areas like Hindi and Witu are trained on sustainable Agricultural practices to ensure sustainable management of the Catchment whose river(Mukuru) drains into Lake Kenyatta. The layers contained in this dataset include: Mukuru Stream, Project Sites for the Sustainable Agriculture , Wetlands, Degraded Sites within Mukuru and lastly the Mukuru Riparian zone which extents 100m either side of Mukuru river.
