Service Description: This layer represents the land use/cover for the 2018/2019 period within the Lamu-Tana project Areas of Witu, Hindi and Mpeketoni and more specifically around Mukuru River and Lake Kenyatta Basin.The Landcover classififcation adopts localised classes closely immitating the FAO LCCS. The resolution of this layer is 10m having been remotely generated from classifying sentinel 2 Imagery. This layer was last updated on 19th March, 2019. DATA ERRORS, CORRECTIONS AND QUALITY ASSESSMENT: WWF-Kenya's GIS team follows procedures designed to ensure that data disseminated by the Centre of Excellence(CoE) are of reasonable quality. It is worthy noting that: the data set, in its present format, is neither complete nor can be considered error-free. It correspond to the best available information at the time of request.
